SPARK Physical Education
Garvey School District utilizes evidence-based physical education and physical activity program, SPARK PE! Our teachers are trained and excited to continue to motivate students on the benefits of movement and exposure to a range of sports!
Grades K-2 Physical Education teaches Foundations, Movement Literacy and Active Play which build motor skills and a love of movement for our youngest learners! These lessons are activity-based, cooperative learning to develop fundamental movement patterns to engage our students.
Grades 3-6 Physical Education teaches Sport Skills, Fitness Concepts, and Teamwork which deepen sport-skill progressions and introduce fitness education. These lessons build a foundation for lifelong activity with standards-aligned units covering a wide range of sports and fitness concepts.
