Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P)
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) provides before-school, after-school, summer, and intersession learning opportunities that support the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of students.
ELO-P at Garvey School District
Garvey School District’s ELO-P is designed to promote whole-child wellness through engaging learning opportunities that support academic achievement, social-emotional development, physical wellness, and leadership skills.
In partnership with Woodcraft Rangers and other community partners, the District provides expanded learning opportunities that may include:
- Academic support in reading, math, English language development, and STEAM
- Homework assistance
- Social-emotional learning
- Sports and physical activities
- Dance, arts and crafts, gardening, chess, robotics, and technology
- Project-based learning and leadership development
- Summer and intersession learning opportunities
ELO-P works in conjunction with the District’s After School Education and Safety (ASES) program to provide expanded access to before- and after-school learning opportunities.
