On December 8, 2016, the Garvey School District Board of Education established an Independent Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee and approved its Bylaws, in connection with issuance of bonds, under Bond Measure GA and in the amount of $40,000,000.  Measure GA was approved by voters on November 8, 2016.  The establishment of an Independent Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee is for the purposes set forth in the Strict Accountability In Local School Construction Bonds Act of 2000.  The Committee is to have such responsibilities granted to them in the Act and in the Bylaws with the terms and intent of Resolution No. 16-17-15.
